नमस्कार,
मराठी भाषा, महान साम्राज्याची भाषा! बोलण्याचा विशेषाधिकार, जो जन्मला मराठी वंशात. अभिमानाने ‘म-रा-ठी’ उच्चारावे, गर्वाने वीरांच्या भाषेत बोलावे इतरांनी कळावे, आम्ही आजपर्यंत छत्रपतीचे मावळे. शिवरायांनी जोपासलेला, स्वराज्याचा हा पुरावा पुढच्या पिढींसाठी, ठेवलेला कायमचा हा वारसा. नेतृत्वाची, राज्यक्रांतीची, अध्यात्माची, नटसम्राटाची भाषा त्यात कोरलेला, मराठी लोकांच्या व्यक्तित्वाचा नकाशा जबाबदारी प्रत्येक मराठ-मोळ्या कुळाची. मराठी भाषेची कीर्ती वाढवावी. शेवटी नको विसरू जन्मापासून या भाषेचा राजदूत तुम्हीच!

For the Marathi community of Mauritius, our language is a calling, not an accident. We are chosen custodians of Marathi, a language that carries the majesty of our heritage, the depth of our history, and the soul of our spirituality. It is the language that fueled the freedom of Maharashtra and India—the language of valiant warriors and destiny-shaping pioneers, safeguarded and dignified by the Great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj himself. Pause and reflect: we are heirs to a Royal Language.
Stand tall and take pride, for you are privileged to carry this legacy forward. For decades, the Marathi Sahitya Parishad has nurtured this noble language, shaping ambassadors like myself. The same opportunity is now extended to you, the next generation.
